ADSL- Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line

The asymmetric digital line is a type of DSL technology that allows for quicker data transmission on copper telephone lines than a traditional voiceband modem would offer. An asymmetric digital subscriber line is also called an ADSL. The ADSL is not the less popular optical symmetric (SDSL) subscriber line.
