Looking for Definition of Cisco dCEF or what Cisco dCEF stands for?

Cisco Express Forwarding (CEF) is a packet-switching strategy that has been the norm for several of Cisco’s router lines for the last ten years. It offers the ability to easily switch packets through a computer quickly while still keeping the load on the router light’s processor.

Two main components compose the CEF: The Forwarding Knowledge Base (FIB) and adjacencies. The FIB is similar to the routing table created by multiple routing protocols, retaining only the next-hop address for a specific IP route.
