The DSU is a digital communication system that connects a local area network (LAN) with a CSU to an external communication carrier service or a broad area network (T1 line, for example). DSU operates with a channel service unit (CSU). Data Service Units (DSUs) provide a modem-like interface for the DTE system, such as the path, to the digital line attached CSU. Besides, DSUs are meant to separate the Wireless Communications Line of the telco electrically from customer’s networking devices.
